Bachelor Party Activities

Bachelor party activities are a great way to celebrate a groom-to-be before he becomes the Mr. to a Mrs. Plan the activities first and foremost based on the preferences of the groom-to-be. While planning, it is also important to keep the likes, dislikes and ages of the groomsmen in mind. Finally, remember to ask those attending the bachelor party about their budgets before starting the planning process.

Here are a few bachelor party activity ideas for all kinds of bachelor parties:

  • Celebrate in the City: There are a variety of different ways to celebrate in the city, regardless of where you live. A celebration in the city can consist of either a wild night out, or a fun, low key evening with the groomsmen. For a crazy night in the city, start the night with a racy hypnotist show. After the show, stop by a local bar or night club for dancing. For a low key evening, consider dinner at a nice restaurant followed by a comedy show. Contact your local limo company and hire a car service to transport the group to the various stops planned for the evening.
  • Casino Getaway: A casino bachelor party is a fantastic way to celebrate with the groom-to-be. Make a list of the groomsmen who plan to attend the weekend getaway, then contact the casino or a local hotel to find out room availability. Research local restaurants in the casino and make reservations in advance of the weekend. When at the casino, spend time gambling and attend a show.
  • Sporting Event: Sporting event are a great idea for a bachelor party activity. Select the sport based on the season of the wedding. Create a list of attendees as soon as possible, as you will need to purchase tickets well in advance of the sporting event. Purchase team gear, such as shirts and hats for those attending the game. Contact the sports stadium before the game to request that they post the name of the groom-to-be on the screen!
  • Concert: If the groom-to-be is a fan of a particular band, research if the band will be playing in your area. If so, purchase tickets for the concert, and hire a limo to escort attendees to and from the event. Attempt to contact the band through their website, and ask if they will honor a request to give the groom-to-be a “shout out” during the concert.

Depending on which bachelor party activity you choose, consider making the entire event a surprise for the groom-to-be. He may know something is coming, but the suspense of what you'll be doing will drive him nuts!
