Who are those "supporting cast members" standing next to them? You may have some idea, but, for the most part, you're in the dark about who and what you're really supposed to be celebrating. Revolution Weddings is a southern California wedding entertainment and officiating service specializing in intercultural weddings and owned by me, DJ, MC, and Minister Staci Nichols. Things are different at Rev Wed! When I think of how I can improve my services, I don't think, "I should buy bigger speakers" (who wants to be shouting at their wedding?), "I should practice scratching with turn tables," or "Maybe it's time to get a limbo stick or Elvis suit." I think, instead, what fun and meaningful surprises can I incorporate, what new and unique way can I introduce the newlyweds, how can I make my equipment look less "oppressive" in wedding pictures, and how can I get all of the guests feeling included and comfortable so they're more inclined to dance and stay until the end.
I have spoken at numerous bridal shows and am a “guest expert†blogger for Wed Loft. My wedding know-how has appeared in Offbeat Bride, Brides Without Borders, Kiss My Tulle, and Big Wedding Tiny Budget. I'm also bilingual and spent 3 years handling destination weddings in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
