  The Ron Smolen Big Band / Orchestra presents a " Unique and Inimitable Style " they call their own as they combine classic 1940's arrangements once performed by Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and Guy Lombardo combined with their own "NEW" Specialized Arrangements. They then add a special " CHICAGO " touch by performing actual " Authentic " Dance Band Arrangements that were originally performed for dancing at Chicago's Historic... " Aragon " - " Trianon " and

  Went to Southampton, England to record 6 songs with "Artful Dodger", same producer as Craig David (who hadn't "made it" yet then)
  
  Recorded the song "Gimme A Sign" with Narada Michael Walden at his Tarpan Studios for the show "Now & Again" (CBS-Paramount) & also wrote and recorded other songs with Narada.
  
  Recorded the song "Lift Me Up" and other songs in Quebec City, Canada with twin brothers named Jean and Claude...who make up the group JLM. "Lift Me Up" was released in Europe and Canada.
  
  Performed 2 songs during the first LA City Firefighters Awards held at the Kodak theatre, hired by the head of the Hollywood Fire Dept. while I was selling karaoke machines at Costco. What an honor!
  
  Curtis Marolt in the Chicago area, who partners up with Marissa Diblasio hired me to sing "Clarify" which was released as Mid Coast All Stars Feat. Ariel Ryder. "Clarify" has received a lot of good feedback and exposure!

  Led by veteran multi-instrumentalist and arranger Jon McGahan, Stardust is dedicated to promoting and continuing the jazz traditions as practiced by Maynard Ferguson, Neal Hefti, Bill Holman, and Quincy Jones among others. This 13-piece ensemble combines inventive writing with vibrant solos by some of Chicago's finest big band practitioners.
  
  From dancing to casual to concerts ans shows, the Stardust Big Band can perform a myriad of styles in the jazz idiom with the swing and excitement both casual and serious jazz audiences expect and deserve.
