The Reading Room, with its dark oak trusses and bookshelves, limestone window surrounds and leaded glass windows, was built in the English Art & Crafts style and evokes an old English country house. The natural light coming in from the windows on three sides allows light to bathe the room in a warm glow. Strategic overhead lights and chandeliers, built to respect the design of the building’s original fixtures, allow continued use into the evening. This historical and completely renovated space in the center of Weston provides all the modern amenities: ADA accessible bathrooms, elevator, street parking, a 13’ wide projection screen with projector, as well as a built-in sound system and Wifi. Depending on your event or meeting needs, there are large round dining tables or conference tables and seating for up to 49 people. An adjacent Conference Room hosts a small catering kitchen and is useful for breakout meetings. Rent just the Reading Room, or expand to include the conference room or the entire first floor. Inquire about our roster of event planners and catering services who already know the building and can help you plan your event. The various rooms are available for a minimum of 4 hours, with discounts for longer (all day) rentals. The makerspace studios in the back of the buildnig offer you the ability to host special, customized activities that provide a welcome change of pace to the long business day. The AIC is the perfect spot for intimate weddings, anniversary or birthday parties, or off-site meetings of any kind.
