Bud Shackelford has been a credentialed minister since 1984 and performed his fist wedding in 1985. Before that he was involved in speech and debate in high school, was a member of the National Forensics League and an award winning public speaker.
Bud has done weddings in almost every circumstance imaginable from marrying a gentleman to his mail order bride to performing a ceremony in a moving ambulance for a couple of EMTs. He has also solemnized vows in large churches, small chapels, houses and out doors.
Bud himself has been married since 1985 and has performed scores of weddings in three different states.
What I do when it is wedding time. I conduct rehearsals to make sure everyone knows where they are going, when they are going, what they are doing and what they are saying in order for everyone to be comfortable come wedding day.
Whether it is a small private outdoor wedding, a large church wedding, a small house affair or a large outdoor event we can do it.
From the seating of the family to the giving of the bride and the charge to the parties we are ready for what is next. If you wish to include unity sand, a unity candle, a tree planting, a personal communion (I will conduct the Eucharist for you according to your Christian tradition) we can included it.
If you wish to do a single or double ring ceremony we can do that for you as well.
I will carefully walk you through the reciting of your vows, pray a prayer for you, and pronounce a blessing over you.
Then comes everyone’s favorite part… The Kiss!
Then I have the privileged of introducing you for the very first time.
I will be available for the receiving line and will guide you and assist you with the completion of the competition of the necessary legal paper work.
Finally, we will have a good time. If you are having a wedding and you are not having fun you are not doing it right.
