GALLERY LOULOU VACATION MANOR A salon of photography, music, and film.

MUSEUM OF COOL- A PANORAMA OF HISTORIC AND ICONIC PHOTOGRAPHY. Featuring a collection of limited editions of THE ROLLING STONES FIRST PHOTO SHOOT. VINTAGE MOVIE POSTERS, LANDSCAPES OF NEW MEXICO, AND LONDON’S 60’S POP PHOTO JOURNALISM. We are State of New Mexico cultural designation and a award winning Historic that we are proud to share. THIS WAS THE HOME OF “MR WILDERNESS,” ELLIOTT BARKER. ELLIOTT was an author, photographer, and the first famed Commissioner of New Mexico Department of Wildlife and Game. He is responsible for the naming of Smoky Bear, and left a esteemed legacy in New Mexican history. The home was built in 1907 and renovated in 2005. The two story Dutch Revival Colonial constructed of brick and rock has been upgraded to allow for preservation to merge with modernism. It feels like turn of the century because the authentic architectural details and arrangement of space is untouched. Walking distance to the Plaza, Canyon Road, and one block to the downtown business district. East Palace Avenue has become an Avenue of galleries, cafes and gift stops. The house is across the street from La Posada Resort and Spa where you can arrange for catering. • The house is sandwiched between two outdoor living portals. One faces East Palace embraced with roses, a furnished portal, music system, and outdoor lighting. The second portal overlooking our private and serene garden of trees, roses, lavender, and vines. • The Garden Theater is an outdoor film room with a projector to show films, plus a six track DVD player to create your own multimedia performance. • The house is all hardwood floors, with French doors in the main living area connecting to the front porch, and a fireplace. • There are FOUR uniquely decorated bedrooms and two baths.
