Easter Costumes

There are many great Easter costumes that you can use to celebrate the holiday. Whether you are hosting a family dinner, church event, or a small event with friends, Easter costumes will help make the occasion festive. Costumes are also a great way to make the celebration more memorable, particularly for the kids!

  • Easter Bunny Costume: An Easter bunny costume is perfect for an adult at a large party or community event. For example, if you are hosting an Easter egg hunt, have someone dress up as the Easter bunny to hide all of the eggs and to build up the kid’s excitement! Another great idea is to have someone dress up in the Easter bunny costume to pass out Easter baskets to all of the guests or kids at your party.
  • Bunny Ears: If you do not want to wear a full Easter bunny costume at your party, bunny ears are a great alternative. There are many different colored bunny ears that you could wear including pink, white, gray, or blue. You could also pass out bunny ears to your guests at your Easter party as party favors!
  • Baby Easter Costumes: An infant Easter bunny costume is also an adorable way to celebrate your baby’s first Easter holiday. Other cute Easter costumes for your baby to wear besides a bunny are a duck, lamb, baby chick, or a blooming flower. Be sure to snap lots of pictures to put in their baby book or scrapbook!
  • Biblical Easter Costumes: There are also many biblical characters that are associated with the Easter holiday.  Choose a costume with a robe, shawl, mantle, and sash to look like Moses, Mary, Joseph, Jesus, a shepherd, or a Wiseman. These Easter costumes are perfect if you are putting on an Easter biblical play at a church event or Easter party.
Whatever Easter costume you decide is best for your celebration, be sure to purchase them in advance. Many stores sell out of Easter costumes quickly in anticipation of the holiday. Also, most costumes come in a variety of materials including polyester, plush, spandex, silk, etc. Choose a fabric that you think will be the most breathable if you are going to be wearing it for a long period of time or will keep you warm if you're going to be outside in the cold. The most important thing to remember is to have fun and be creative with your Easter costumes!
