Holiday Party Dip Recipes

The holiday season means lots of parties and every party needs a delicious dip, or two! Party dips are great for large crowds because they're easy to enjoy while mingling with friends and holding a beverage. For the holiday season, present your dip with some festive trimmings, such as holly berries or pine cones, or add a seasonal flavor like cranberries. Try one of these recipes for holiday party dips that will have everyone buzzing: 

Spinach Dip 

• 2 bags frozen chopped spinach
• 1 cup mayo
• 1 package onion soup mix
• 16 oz. sour cream
• 3 scallions, finely chopped

Defrost the spinach and drain it. Squeeze as needed to remove all water. Place the spinach in a large bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Mix well. Cover and refridgerate overnight. Serve the next day with pita chips, pretzels, veggies, or bread. You can also hollow out a round loaf of bread and use that as your serving dish! Decorate the plate around the bread with sprigs of holly and pine cones. 

Cranberry Horseradish Dip

• 8 oz. cream cheese
• 2 Tbsp. (more if you like it spicy)
• 1/2 cup cranberry sauce 
• 1/4 cup bacon, crumbled
• 2 scallions, chopped
• 1/2 tsp. salt 

Stir together all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Serve with crackers and slices of cheddar cheese. 

Hot Crab Dip

• 1 container lump crab meat
• 1/2 cup mayo
• 8 oz. cream cheese 
• 1 Tbsp. Sherry
• 1 tsp grated onion or onion juice
• 1 tsp. lemon juice
• 2 tsp. yellow mustard 
• 1 tsp. salt 

Rinse the crab meat and squeeze out any extra water. Set up a double boiler and turn it to medium. Add everything except the crab meat and stir until all ingredients are combined. Add in the crab meat and continue stirring. Watch the heat, you may need to turn it down to avoid burning. Serve with water crackers or crostini.
